Run the Rails 5k
Run the Rails 5k is presented by the Skiatook Cross Country Team as part of Skiatook's Pioneer Day Festival on September 19, 2026, in Skiatook, Oklahoma. Proceeds support the team's upcoming fall cross country season.
The event offers these distances:
- 5K
- 1 Mile Fun Run
The start and finish are at Exchange Bank, 300 W Rogers Blvd, Skiatook. The course mostly follows the Osage Prairie Trail, a former rail line converted into a trail in 2006 that extends 14 miles from OSU Tulsa to Skiatook.
Registration details include early pricing through the end of August and increased fees from September 1 through race day. The 5K early fee is $30 and increases to $35; the Fun Run early fee is $20 and increases to $25. Registration opened in June for both events.
All participants receive custom wood Run the Rails finishers medals. Runners who register by the end of August receive an official Run the Rails T-shirt; select sizes are available on a first come, first served basis afterward.
