Run Stubborn 25k and 50k
This trail event takes place at Carver's Creek State Park in Fayetteville, North Carolina on March 13, 2027. The course follows a 16 mile loop that is run in one direction; there are no out and backs or two way traffic. The event uses that loop for both distances, with the 50K consisting of two laps and a hard cutoff to begin the second lap. 50K runners have nine hours to finish.
The course includes sections not normally open to the public and passes several lakes and ponds. Trail surfaces are described as runnable but technical in places.
Participant rules include an age minimum of 14 years and a dog policy limited to cani cross dogs only. All entrants receive a race shirt and finishers receive a medal.
Practical entry details listed for each distance:
- 25K
- 50K, two laps, 9 hour finish limit
Registration opens October 6, 2026 and closes October 9, 2026. Published entry fees are $40 for the 25K and $65 for the 50K. Completing the course in both directions across consecutive years qualifies for a challenge award. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
