Run of the Mill Trail Runraiser : 2026
The third annual Run of the Mill Trail Runraiser is a charity trail event held at Brandywine Creek State Park in Wilmington, Delaware (41 Adams Dam Road, 19807). The event offers marked courses for two distances:
- 5 Miles trail run/walk
- 10 Miles trail run/walk
Registration is free and required, with a suggested donation of $25 via the event's donation option. Online registration closes on 11/5/2026; day-of registration is available with cash or Venmo donations only. A daily park entrance fee applies: $4 for in-state and $8 for out-of-state visitors, payable in cash or at a kiosk.
Proceeds benefit three Delaware nonprofit organizations: Delaware Youth Cycling League, Friends of Brandywine Creek, and Sussex Sand Sharks Mountain Bike Team. The park hosts many cross country races, including the Delaware cross country state championships.
The marked course remains open for four hours, making it accessible to hikers as well as runners. Five-mile participants should carry their own hydration and nutrition. The 10-mile course includes an unmanned water-only aid station located around mile 4.5 and mile 8. Porta-potties are available at the start and finish area. In the event of unsafe weather, organizers may move the event to 11/8/2026; participants will be notified beforehand.
Post-event snacks and drinks are pot-luck style at the picnic table under the pavilion. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
