Run for Isaac 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk
This community running event is presented by the Penn State Hazleton PTA Club at Tamaqua Area High School, 500 Penn Street, Tamaqua, PA 18252. The program includes two distances:
- 5K on the Tamaqua Area cross country course
- 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk on the Raiders Stadium track
The 5K is mostly a trail course with a track start and finish. The 1 mile fun run/walk is four laps on the stadium track and is untimed. Awards are given for the 5K: first overall male and female and the top three male and female finishers in these age groups: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60 plus.
Amenities include a race shirt guaranteed for registrants by October 2, with shirts available while supplies last afterward. Post-race snacks are provided, and coffee and breakfast items will be available for purchase. All proceeds will be used to establish a memorial scholarship in the honoree's name to support future students interested in health, athletics, and academics.
Registration options include mailed paper application or online registration; a nominal service fee may apply for online entries. Entry fees vary by date and include a shirt for earlier registrants. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
