About the race
Run Fest at Panorama Farms takes place on April 17, 2027, at Panorama Farms in Earlysville, Virginia. The event includes a trail race, a team relay, and a one-mile family-friendly event on the venue’s grass cross-country course and surrounding trails.
Distances offered:
- 4 miles - groomed single-track trail loop with reservoir views
- 1 mile relay - four team members each run the same grass cross-country loop
- 1 mile Fun One - inclusive mile for runners, walkers, kids, strollers, and leashed dogs
The 4-mile loop follows flowing single-track trails through the woods with viewpoints overlooking the reservoir. The relay uses a championship-style grass cross-country loop intended to be fast and spectator-friendly. The Fun One shares the same one-mile course and welcomes a broad range of participants and companions, including leashed dogs.
After the races, the finish area becomes a festival setting with live music, food trucks, and local beverages, including beer from Random Row Brewing Co. Panorama Farms is normally closed to the public, making this event a limited opportunity to access its trails and rolling hills. Proceeds from Run Fest benefit the UVA Innovation Hub at Charlottesville Middle School, supporting computationally rich, project-based learning for students and teachers in Charlottesville City Schools.
