Kiwanis River Run
The 5th Annual Kiwanis River Run is held in Fresno at George's River Ranch along the San Joaquin River. The event supports the Pediatric Trauma - Injury Prevention Program at Valley Children's Hospital.
Event distances include:
- 10K Trail Run scenic river trail
- 5K Run/Walk road and trail mix
- 2 Mile Fun Walk/Run timed with no placement awards
- Kids 1/4 Mile Fun Run non-timed, open to ages 10 and under
The course uses off-road and trail sections beneath trees beside the river and is organized as three scenic routes. The start and finish are located in a shaded, park-like assembly area next to the river. Plenty of free parking is available steps from the event area.
Every participant receives a custom t-shirt and a finisher medal. A complimentary breakfast is provided, including crepes with strawberries and whipped cream, coffee, and juice. Event awards include a George the Giraffe plush with a medal for the top three 5K finishers and special gold medals for overall 5K male and female winners.
