Rooikat Trail Run 2026
Rooikat Trail Run 2026 takes place on 30 August 2026 at Entle Private Game Farm in the Elands River Valley near Gqeberha, Eastern Cape. The event is organised by Big O Sports and uses trails within the private reserve.
The course runs through natural terrain and includes flowing single track, climbs, river crossings and descents. Parts of the route pass through areas used by local wildlife. The event offers distinct route distances and age category rules.
Distances and entry fees:
- 8 km - R225 (Primary School under 13 pay R50)
- 12 km - R275
- 20 km - R325
Pre-entries close on 27 August 2026; late entries are accepted on race day. An additional R50 is charged for late entries. Substitutions are allowed via the participant profile; late substitutions on race day carry a R100 fee. Once an entry is confirmed, refunds are not issued.
Age categories include a primary school category limited to the 8 km route and a masters category for runners aged 50 and older that is available across the offered distances. Dogs are not permitted at the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
