ROO Race Series - Montana
The ROO Race Series is a two-day event in Clancy, Montana on June 11–12, 2027, held on a private cattle ranch at Dutchman Creek Events. The weekend includes five races across rugged ranch terrain with roads, single-track, and cross-country sections. Course markings, official maps, and GPX files will be provided before race weekend.
Friday features four companion races:
- 50K multi-loop course with central event hub and staffed aid.
- 25K middle-distance route on the same ranch terrain with staffed aid.
- 10K a marked shorter course with aid at the start/finish.
- Lil Bucks Mile one-mile race for ages 12 and under with start/finish support.
Saturday features the ROO Backyard Ultra - Last One Standing. Competitors run a designated 4.17 mile loop each hour; each loop must be completed within the hour and runners must return to the starting area to begin the next loop. The race continues until one competitor remains able to complete another loop. The Backyard Ultra includes staffed on-course support points but is primarily self-supported; runners and crews are responsible for nutrition, hydration, gear, lighting, and clothing.
Runners may enter a Friday race and also compete in the Backyard Ultra. Registration opens Mon. Sep 14, 2026 at 8:00 AM MT. Registration is limited, first-come, first-served. All registrations are final and non-refundable. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
