Rolling Hill Revival
Rolling Hill Revival is a trail running event at Roosevelt State Park in Morton, MS, held as part of a weekend of outdoor activities with the State Games of Mississippi. The running program includes two distance options run on a natural surface single-track course with short sections of paved or gravel road. The 7.0 mile loop features nearly 700 feet of elevation gain. Runners must follow the full course as marked; short cutting is not allowed and may result in disqualification.
The event hub is the ball field located across from the main park office. Park amenities nearby include a 20-room hotel, 15 renovated cabins, 110 full-hookup RV sites, and a primitive camping area; reservations are available through the MDWFP reservation system. Roosevelt State Park charges a $2 per person day use fee that can be deposited in the honor box if the gate is unmanned.
Awards are offered by overall placement and age categories for each distance, including Masters (40+), Grand Masters (50+), and Sr Master (60+). A runner who starts the 14-mile event and later drops to the shorter distance is not eligible for awards. Race support includes water, sports drink, and snacks.
