Rogue Gorge - Daybreak Racing
Rogue Gorge is a trail running weekend held October 17 and 18, 2026 along the Upper Rogue Wild and Scenic River in the Southern Oregon Cascades. The event is staged at the Union Creek Day Use Picnic Shelter within the Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest, near Crater Lake National Park.
Distances offered include:
- 50 Miler point to point trail run
- 50K point to point trail run
- Half Marathon lollipop loop trail run
- 12K lollipop loop trail run
The courses follow the Rogue Gorge Trail and the Upper Rogue River Trail, a National Recreation Trail. Much of the route is singletrack through old growth forest and features basalt and pumice canyons, collapsed lava tube chasms, waterfalls and sections where the river runs underground. The event notes scenic fall foliage and river-proximate shading on many sections of trail.
Logistics provided with entry include fully marked courses, aid stations, medical support and communications, official timing and results, shuttle transport for point to point races, professional photography, and custom finisher awards. A portion of race proceeds benefits the Siskiyou Mountain Club. Local staging offers nearby lodging at Union Creek Resort and on-site camping at Union Creek Campground, with campsite reservations available; large RVs and trailers over 16 feet are discouraged. Dogs on leash are allowed at the staging area and at crew accessible aid stations but are not permitted on the course. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
