About the race
Rocky 50 is a trail race held at Huntsville State Park on February 13, 2027. The event uses Raven Lodge and the area around Lake Raven as the race hub and finish area. The course consists of marked looped routes that travel through pine forest and along the lake, with many exposed tree roots, rolling terrain, bridges, and wildlife sightings. Expect roughly 1,250 feet of elevation gain and equal loss per full lap.

The 50 mile is three repeated laps of a 16.7 mile loop. The 50K uses a shorter first lap then a full lap. The half marathon follows a single modified lap that highlights bridges and key trail sections. The race uses extensive course markings (orange caution tape, yellow arrows, and confidence markers) and reflective markers for hours of darkness. Aid stations provide full support on the course; the event is cupless so participants should carry their own cup or bottle. Chip timing is used and chips are worn on the ankle. Drop bag delivery to Dam Nation is available for the longer distances when delivered during packet pickup on Friday. Organizers manage campsite and RV reservations through the event system; parking at the park is limited and restricted to designated spaces.
