Rockcut Race Weekend
The Rockcut Race Weekend takes place in Twillingate, Newfoundland and Labrador. The event utilizes the Rockcut Twillingate Trails, situated along the North Atlantic coast. Participants can choose from three distinct distances that showcase the coastal and inland geography of Twillingate Island.
The following distances are available:
- 50 km (Rockcut Ultra): A course featuring coastal single track, forested sections, bogs, and community roads.
- 23 km (Halfcut): A loop of the North Island consisting mostly of rugged, single track coastal trails.
- 9 km (Shortcut): A loop starting at Snellins Cove, passing through Back Harbour, Batrix Island, and Smith's Lookout.
The 50 km route traverses various terrains through local outport communities. The 23 km option focuses on the coastal scenery of the northern portion of the island. The 9 km course includes a climb to the Smith's Lookout cross before returning to the starting point at Snellins Cove. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
