Riordan King of the Mountain - Wycheproof VIC
The Riordan King of the Mountain event takes place in Wycheproof, Victoria on 26 September 2026. The programme includes a range of short uphill races, team relays and trail distances centered on Mount Wycheproof.
The King and Queen races are 1 km climbs to the summit with weighted loads. Several junior and children’s sprints use the same 1 km route with lighter loads. Relay events use a wheelbarrow to carry sacks along the course. A newly listed 21 km trail route winds through the Mallee landscape around Mount Wycheproof; this half marathon entry is free because of a grant from Agriculture Victoria under the Victorian Government’s 2025 Drought Support Package. There is also a 5.5 km loop around the base finishing with summit views.
