Red Rocks of Sedona Trail Races
The Red Rocks of Sedona Trail Races take place on October 17, 2026, in the high desert landscape of Arizona. The event features point-to-point courses that traverse winding singletrack, slickrock, and ridgelines within the Coconino National Forest. All distances include the Hi-Line Trail, which offers views of Cathedral Rock and the surrounding red rock formations.
Participants can choose from the following distances:
- Mountain Marathon: A 26.2-mile route across the scenic Southside of Sedona.
- 20 Miler: A long-distance trail run designed for experienced runners.
- 10 Miler: A shorter course featuring technical descents and elevation shifts.
- 2.5 Miler: A short distance starting and finishing at the Verde Valley School.
The Mountain Marathon, 20 Miler, and 10 Miler begin at the United Methodist Church and finish at the Verde Valley School. A shuttle service is available to transport runners from the finish area to the start line. The 2.5 Miler does not require a shuttle as it begins and ends at the school.
The event includes fully stocked aid stations providing hydration, electrolytes, and fuel. All registered participants receive a technical race shirt and a commemorative medal. A Vendor Village is located at the finish line, offering recovery services and product samples from various partners. The organizers provide GPX files for digital navigation, though all courses are fully marked. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
