About the race
Rebild Kalkmineløb 2026 is a trail and road event in Skørping that passes through Rebild Bakker, Lindenborg Ådal and Thingbæk Kalkminer. Distances offered are:
- 3 km (child and stroller friendly)
- 5.5 km
- 10.5 km (chip timing)
- 21.1 km (half marathon with chip timing)
Routes run mainly on gravel roads, forest and field trails and some asphalt, with sections that are hilly and at times technical. The longest routes circle Gravlev Sø and climb to REGAN Vest and the highest local viewpoint. All participants on the two longest distances receive a timing chip. The finish area is at Rebildcentret with Thingbæk Kalkminer and a short, illuminated section through the mines with live music is included on the course; half marathon participants experience this section twice.
Facilities include staffed refreshment stations with cold drinks, cake and fruit. A start number also grants access to Rebildcentret, its exhibitions, Kildetårnet panorama room and the mine areas for the day. Free parking is available at Røde Møllevej 4. Optional purchases include a sandwich and a medal for set prices. The event is organized by Rebildcentret with Thingbæk Kalkminer and Rold Skov Orienteringsklub and timed by DGI Nordjylland Tidtagning.
