The Readymoney Ramble
The Readymoney Ramble is a timed trail event based in Fowey that uses an 8 km infinity loop. The route runs through Readymoney Cove, follows sections of the South West Coast Path to Polridmouth, then returns overland through fields and woodlands before looping through the streets of Fowey. The course surface is approximately 60% trail and 40% road.
The event offers multiple distance options by repeating the same lap:
- 8 km One lap
- 16 km Two laps
- 24 km Three laps
- 32 km Four laps A four-person team relay is available so each team member completes an 8 km lap.
Start and finish are at Fowey Town Hall; the town hall also serves as the lap transition point for multiple laps. There is a checkpoint with snacks and fluid at the town hall for those doing more than one lap, and a water station at Readymoney Cove. Tea, coffee and biscuits are provided at the finish.
This is a self-navigation event. Entrants will be sent a GPX route, and signage and marshals will be placed only at strategic locations. There are no cut off times. Awards are presented to the top male and top female in each distance. Runners must carry a fully charged mobile phone and at least 500 ml of fluid.
