Råskinnet

Råskinnet is a terrengløp rundt Sognsvann with bogs, trails, steep climbs and two crossings of Sognsvann. The course is wet and muddy and the event includes separate distances for children, youth and adults.

Distances:

• 9 km for ages 15 and up, two water crossings
• 3 km for ages 10–15, one water crossing
• 900 m for ages 6–9, over bog and through creeks

The 9 km course highlights several named sections: a southern crossing of Sognsvann shortly after the start with water up to thigh level, Kollbakkene with steep up and down sections in old ski jump terrain, Godbekken with old forest and bog roughly halfway, a northern Sognsvann crossing, and the final Skileik-kneika hill at NIH with the finish visible from the top.

Practical information notes public transport and facilities. The arena is reached by T‑bane line 5 to Sognsvann. There is free parking at Sognsvann and paid parking at NIH. Start numbers are sent by SMS and must be collected in the start area at least one hour before the race. Showers and changing rooms are in the NIH basement; participants should bring a personal lock and dry clothes. All finishers receive a medal; there are refreshments and a photo wall at the finish. A tent for bags is available but unguarded.
