Ras Rhobell Fawr Fell Race
Ras Rhobell Fawr is the first race in the Meirionnydd Winter Race Series, organised by Meirionnydd Running Club. The event uses Llanfachreth village hall as the race headquarters, which has recently been renovated.
The senior course is an out and back route of 6 Miles with 1900' (579 m) of ascent. The route climbs through fields and tracks and then follows a wall to the summit. Runners must carry full WFRA kit as a minimum and wear fell shoes. A junior race runs on the same course shortly after the senior race; junior entry is handled on the day for a fee of £2.
Race grade is listed as AM & LK/PM/NS. Race information includes a course map and a safety briefing; the safety briefing contains details relevant to junior entrants. After the race, hot soup is provided in the race headquarters.
