About the race

Ras Rhobell Fawr is scheduled for 7 November 2026 as the first race in the Meirionnydd Winter Race Series and is listed in the WFRA North Wales Series Final.

The course is an out and back of 6 miles with 1900' (579 m) of ascent. The route climbs through fields and tracks and then follows a wall to the summit. Llanfachreth village hall serves as the start and finish, and the race uses a newly renovated race HQ. Post race soup is provided.

The event carries a race grade of AM & LK/PM/NS. Competitors are required to carry full WFRA kit as a minimum and to wear fell shoes. A race map and safety information are made available for the course. A junior race runs shortly after the senior event on the same course; junior on the day entry is £2.
