About the race
The Ram Council Foundation CD Fun Run takes place on November 7, 2026 at the New Canaan High School Track in New Canaan, CT. The track is described as a safe surface with no asphalt, concrete, or potholes.
Participants run or walk as many laps as they can in 14 minutes and 48 seconds, with runners and walkers assigned to separate lanes. Music for multiple generations will be played during the event. The first 125 entries in the men's and women's races will receive a CD Fun Run cap.
Distances:
- Women's and Men's: multiple laps in 14 minutes 48 seconds on a 400 m track
- Kid's: one lap (400 meters) for children 8 and under
Registration is available online. Early check-in and bib or cap pickup are scheduled at the New Canaan Public Library on November 5 and November 6, with additional pickup on race day at the track. Race day registration closes shortly before each race. Entry fees are listed by category: adults $45 plus processing fee, students $35 plus processing fee, and kids $5 plus processing fee.
Each entrant is responsible for tracking their laps; volunteers and lap sheets will be available and a companion may assist from the bleachers. Awards will recognize the furthest distance in the men's and women's races, and all finishers in the kids' race will receive a medal. All proceeds support the Ram Council Foundation, a local nonprofit serving 7th–12th grade students. The Maddox Law Firm is listed as a sponsor.
