Race to the Rescue - Antigonish, Nova Scotia
Race to the Rescue is a trail running fundraiser hosted by Strait Area Ground Search and Rescue in collaboration with the Cape George Trail Association. The event takes place at 432 Marsh Road in Antigonish and supports the volunteer, non-profit search and rescue team SAGSAR.
Distances offered:
- 10 km route, ~265 m elevation: North Shore Fire Hall to Cape George Lighthouse
- 21 km route, ~720 m elevation: loop from North Shore Fire Hall to Cape George Lighthouse
The 21 km course has two aid stations; the 10 km course has one. Aid stations provide water and a first aid provider. Timing is manual. Transport is available from the finish at Cape George Lighthouse back to the start at North Shore Fire Hall. Dogs are not permitted on the race course but are welcome at the finish area. Bib pick-up is available the day before at Coastal Chiropractic and on event morning at North Shore Fire Hall. Awards are presented after the races.
Registration fees listed on the event page include mandatory charges. Example fees shown are CA$40.06 for the 10 km and CA$56.26 for the half marathon distance.
