Beat The Sunset 50km
The Beat The Sunset 50km is a 50 km multi terrain ultra marathon in the Thames Valley, held in Maidenhead on May 22nd 2027. The route is a single lap that uses the Thames Path, the Jubilee River and the Green Way. The course is fully signed and is about 75% off road, with total elevation around 235 m.
The event features chip timing, free live tracking and four checkpoints on course at approximately 10 km intervals. Checkpoints supply cola, water and a mix of sweet and savoury snacks. Personal nutrition drops can be taken to the third and fourth checkpoints. A GPX file and a provisional course map are provided for runners.
The published cut off time is 8 hours 57 minutes. Massage is available before and after the event. The event includes a finish medal, race mementoes, prizes, toilets, feed stations and medical backup. Free downloadable race photos are also provided.
Entries close on May 19th unless capacity is reached earlier. Entry fees are listed at £68 to £70. Mandatory kit requirements include a fully charged phone, a foil blanket and a full 500 ml bottle or vessel for fluids.
