Race Over the Glen
Race Over the Glen is a technical trail race held in Glenariff Forest Park, Antrim. The route covers 10 kilometres of forest trails and passes scenic viewpoints and waterfalls. The course requires confidence on technical terrain and prior ability to run a continuous 10 km on road.
Entries open and close on specified dates, with a maximum field capped at 800 entrants and an entry minimum age of 16. Entry categories include affiliated and non-affiliated options with Green and Standard choices; the Standard entry includes a ROTG beanie hat. Transfers and name changes are allowed online until the entry closing date; there are no refunds or deferrals.
The event offers a prize pot of over £1,000. Prizes include cash awards for the top male and female finishers, age-category prizes, team prizes based on cumulative club positions, and junior prizes for under-18 finishers. Prize presentation and light refreshments are planned, weather permitting.
Pre-race registration and race-day registration are organised at local venues. Parking is available at several nearby car parks and additional parking at Parkmore Forest may be used; car-share is encouraged and car park marshals will direct vehicles.
