Race Over the Glen
Race Over the Glen is a technical trail race through Glenariff Forest Park in Antrim. The route covers approximately 10 kilometres over technical terrain and passes forest viewpoints and waterfalls.
The event has a maximum field of 800 entrants and a minimum age of 16. Entries open 16 August 2026 and close 21 December 2026. Entry categories include a Green Entry that includes a medal and chip timing, and a Standard Entry that also includes a beanie hat. Transfers and name changes can be made online until the entry closing date; there are no refunds or deferrals.
Pre race registration is at The Thatch, Main Street, Broughshane on Sunday 27 December from 12:00 to 14:00. Race day registration is at the Visitors Centre, Glenariff from 09:30 to 11:00. Parking and car sharing are organised with spaces at Ballee Park and Ride Ballymena, ECOS Park, Ballymena Leisure Centre and Parkmore Forest Touring in the Trees opposite the main forest entrance; car park marshals will direct vehicles.
The prize pot exceeds £1,000 with monetary prizes for male and female open winners, age category prizes, team prizes and junior prizes. If adverse weather or other issues force cancellation the event may be rescheduled to Sunday 24 January 2027 or Sunday 7 February 2027.
