Milton Keynes Pretty Muddy 5k
The event is a Pretty Muddy 5k obstacle course at Willen Lake in Milton Keynes, organised by Cancer Research UK to raise funds for cancer research. The listed minimum fundraising target is £50. Earlybird fees are shown for adults and children.
The course start and finish are on grass. The route is mainly on tarmacked paths with some sections on grass. Obstacles involve climbing, crawling and sliding; marshals are available to assist and participants may skip obstacles if needed. Wave starts are staggered every 15 minutes and groups should register for the same wave. Participants must be aged 13 or older; separate Pretty Muddy Kids events are available for children aged 12 and under.
The meeting point is the grass area between the splash park and the play area, next to the ferris wheel. Car parks at Willen Lake serve the event site; parking charges apply, an ANPR system operates, and payment is by machine or the Ringo app. Car parks are roughly a 10 minute walk from the event site; Blue Badge parking is available in Car Park B about 200 m from the site. There are no electric vehicle charging points.
Available site facilities include refreshments and toilets. The site does not allow dogs, is not wheelchair accessible, is not suitable for pushchairs, and does not offer a bag drop. Participants are listed as receiving a fundraising pack, a customisable back sign, training plans, access to an online community, and a Race for Life medal.
