Race for DFL
Race for DFL is a backyard ultra-style running event held in Winchendon, MA at Kenty’s Farm on Joslin Road in early November 2026 (Nov 6–8). The format follows the Last Runner Standing model where competitors run repeated laps of a fixed loop and continue until only one runner remains. This edition is a BRONZE Ticket Backyard Ultra; the winner earns qualification to a Silver Ticket Backyard Ultra.
The event uses a single loop of about 4.16667 miles for the backyard ultra, the fastest lap contest, and the timed events. The course surface is mixed: approximately 10% grass, 50% single and double track dirt trail, and 40% crushed gravel. Each lap has roughly 235 feet of climbing. Partial lap options will be available at the end of timed events.

Logistics note: the site layout places parking 100 to 200 yards from the start/finish area and vehicles cannot drive directly to the loop. An ATV with a trailer and a site wagon will be available to move gear between parking and the start/finish. All runners and volunteers receive pompom hats.
