Race Back to School! Methacton 5K
The Methacton Education Foundation and Methacton Alumni and Friends organize a community running event at Heebner Park in Collegeville, PA to raise funds for the Methacton Backpack Program. All proceeds benefit the Backpack Program, which provides year-round food to local families in need.
Event offerings include the following distances:
- 5K Run or Walk (trail course, unpaved surfaces such as dirt and gravel)
- Kids Fun Run/Walk 1.5K (untimed; for age 12 and under)
Entry fees are $35 for the 5K and $20 for the kids fun run. Participants who register by September 14 may order a T-shirt; T-shirts cost $5. T-shirt sizes include youth S–XL and adult S–XXL. Race day registration is accepted but will not include a T-shirt, and shirts not picked up on race day will not be held.
The 5K will be professionally timed by Bryn Mawr Racing Co., and awards will be given to the top three overall and top three in each age group; the kids fun run is not timed. On-course amenities include water stations, refreshments, and snacks. Parking is available at the Heebner Park Valley Forge Entrance with overflow at the Heebner Road Entrance.
