Questars Adventure Race Chilterns
The event is a winter adventure race in the Chilterns based at Princes Risborough School, Merton Rd, Princes Risborough, HP27 0DR. It combines trail running and mountain biking with navigation by map and compass to visit as many checkpoints as possible within a time limit. There are no set distances; participants choose which checkpoints to visit and in what order.
Multiple event formats accommodate different durations and combinations of disciplines, including solo and team entries of two, three or four people. Options include a run-only event (up to 2 hours), a bike-only event (up to 3 hours), a duo taster with both run and bike (up to 3 hours) and a duo full option that combines both for up to 5 hours. Entry prices start from £30, with specific event prices listed for each option.
Bike hire is offered through the event partner from £42, including on-site support and a damage waiver; hire bikes must be booked in advance. E-bikes must be declared before starting and are classified as non-competitive. Required safety kit is specified by the organiser and participants are expected to carry mandatory kit for hill safety.
Onsite facilities include car parking, an indoor hall for shelter, food and drink, and toilet, shower and changing areas. The race is part of the 2026/27 Winter Series and follows a score format with flexible routing. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
