Q50 Races Chupacabra
Q50 Races Chupacabra is a nighttime trail running event on November 6, 2026, at Bogue Chitto State Park in Franklinton, LA. The event is the organizer's 16th edition and offers two distance options.
- 5 miles
- 10 miles
The course is a 5 mile loop; the 10 mile distance consists of two loops. The 10 mile finish area includes one water and food station. The 5 mile course has no aid stations. Participants are asked to bring a bright headlamp or flashlight, extra batteries, a whistle, and a personal hydration container such as a camelback. Runners who use prescription glasses or contacts are reminded to bring them.
Food for participants will be provided by the New Orleans Mission. Handmade medals and awards will be given. A park entrance fee of $3 per person will be collected on site; exact change is requested. The organizer permits mileage changes before the event deadline on November 4 and does not allow mileage switching on race day. If a participant gets lost, cuts the course, or follows the wrong course, they are not eligible for place awards.
The event statement encourages sensible hygiene and self care; participants who feel unwell are asked to refrain from attending. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
