Prairie Goat VK is a vertical kilometer event held on August 9, 2026, at SpringHill Winter Park in Springfield, MB. The course uses an approximately 400 m loop that features a rapid descent followed by a climb back to the summit. Competitors repeat the loop until they reach a total vertical gain of 1,000 m, which equates to 30 laps.
The event provides an aid station offering water, electrolytes, energy bars, and fruit. It is a cup-less event; reusable drinking vessels are required. Participants receive a finisher medal and the organizers award VK top finisher prizes and trophies for those who complete the most laps before the event time limit.
