About the race
The LOWA Posbank Trail takes place on Saturday 24 October 2026 on the terrain of Scouting Markesteen near Buitenplaats Beekhuizen in Velp. The routes run over varied off‑road terrain, including singletracks and the heath of the Rozendaalse Veld, and are marked predominantly with bright yellow Cairn arrows.
Distances and formats include:
- 7 km Snuffeltrail or Walk
- 15 km Trail, Canitrail or Walk
- 24 km Trail
- Kids Trail routes for young children
Children’s routes for the Stoere Steenmannetjes are organised in short distances: about 600 metres for ages up to 6 years and about 1,200 metres for ages 7 to 11. The Canitrail is offered this edition over 7 km and 15 km with unique staggered starts per dog‑human team. Dog age minimums apply per distance and each dog may run only one distance; participants must carry the dog passport for age checks.
Courses are set and marked by the Cairn Trails & Adventures parcours team. A GPX file is published on the Wednesday evening before the event (21 October). Well‑equipped aid stations provide water, sports drink, salty snacks, winegums, chocolate and fresh fruit, but the event is self‑sufficient and cup free so participants should bring their own cup or bottle. Parking is advised in the Beekhuizen residential area about 1 km from the start. Time limits and prize categories are published for the various distances and electronic chip timing is used; returned chips are required to avoid a fee.
