Portumna Forest Marathon
Portumna Forest Marathon takes place in Portumna Forest Park and offers multiple road and trail distances. The event is staged within a wooded park environment and follows forest roads and tracks.

The setting is described as calm and scenic, with participants, crew, and marshals blending into the natural surroundings. Short Irish rain showers are a common feature and can create puddles and reflections on the route, which affect footing and the visual setting.
Walkers and wheelchair users are welcome, but entry is limited to those over 18 years old. Participants who have special requirements should ensure they have support or are self-sufficient. Competitors should bring spare equipment if needed, for example spare tyres or basic first aid supplies. The quality of the road surface is not guaranteed; the forest roads are under Coillte and OPW authority rather than the event organiser.
For safety, the use of music players with earphones is not recommended. Use of GPS devices, heart rate monitors, and stopwatches is allowed. Pacing by an athlete not entered in the same event is not permitted. Spectators are welcome, may erect small gazebos or tents in certain areas, overnight camping is not allowed, and spectators must avoid being on the race route for safety.
