Pomeroy SoleKids Fall Frenzy 5k
The Pomeroy SoleKids Fall Frenzy 5k is a community 5K held at the Garfield County Fairgrounds in Pomeroy, WA. The course uses a mix of asphalt and dirt, combining elements of road running and trail terrain, and follows a flat loop through town that highlights fall colors and cooler seasonal conditions.
The event is part of the SoleKids program, a Boise-based non-profit that supports running for children from pre-K through 5th grade. SoleKids runs spring and fall training programs that meet twice weekly for eight weeks to prepare participants for a 5K race. Entry to this event is free for SoleKids, Pomeroy participants; an entry code is provided by local program staff.
A limited number of participant shirts are available; sizes are limited. The published entry fee for general registration is USD 23.50. Registration closes on November 20.
On-course amenities include a PortaPotty at the start/finish area and an aid station at the halfway point. The organizer offers financial assistance to participants who cannot pay the entry fee and can be contacted for support. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
