Pleasant Creek Trail Run
The 12th annual Pleasant Creek Trail Run is scheduled for September 12, 2026 at Pleasant Creek Park in Palo, Iowa. The event is organized by the Eastern Iowa Trail Alliance, a 501(c)(3) non-profit, and offers three trail distances.
- 15K (one 15K loop)
- 30K (two 15K loops)
- 45K (three 15K loops)
The race uses the park’s outer equestrian trail, a 15K loop run clockwise this year. The surface is primarily dirt and grass with possible small water crossings and rolling hills. Runners exit the trail at the same location they enter to return to the start/finish for each subsequent loop. Strollers and pets are not allowed on the course.
Awards are given to the top male and female overall in each distance and to the top three male and female finishers in age groups 29 & under, 30-45, and 46+. Overall cash prizes are listed by distance and there are payouts for breaking event records. Timing services are provided by OnlineRaceResults with results posted online.
Registration details include online registration closing September 10 at 5:00 PM CT, a packet pickup window on Friday evening at Soko Outfitters in Cedar Rapids, and race day packet pickup at the start/finish area. Parking follows volunteer directions to the Pleasant Creek Beach grass field; do not park on grass elsewhere. No bib transfers or refunds.
