About the race
The Pikes Peak Road Runners Fall Series is a four-race trail series held in different city and county parks around Colorado Springs. Courses vary with trail conditions and include well-maintained paths, single-track sections, rocky terrain, and tree roots; one course notes snake presence. Distances increase as the series progresses.
- 3.8 miles, Bear Creek Terrace
- 4.0 miles, North Monument Valley Park
- 5.5 miles, Piñon Valley Park and Ute Valley Park
- 7.4 miles, Palmer Park
All entrants must be 15 years old or older. The events prohibit animals, baby joggers or strollers, earbuds or headphones, bikes, and trikes; violations result in disqualification. Registration is online only and closes the day before each race; there is no race day registration. First responders and active-duty military are eligible for a discount for the series or a single race by contacting race staff for a discount code.
A Runner's Magic Scarf (buff) is included with entry. The series is chip timed and all scoring is based on chip time. Awards are only given to runners who complete all four races; overall awards and age-group awards are distributed as gift cards, with specified amounts for top overall finishers and top age-group finishers. Duplicate awards are not allowed and awards must be claimed at the series awards dinner. The series has been held since 1979. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
