Pierrepont Plod – Summer 2027
This is a six hour trail challenge held on looped circuits at Holme Pierrepont Country Park and Watersports Centre. Participants may attempt as many laps as possible during the six hours or complete a single lap. The course includes a stretch alongside the rowing lake and features mud, roots and puddles.
Two alternative looped routes are available because parts of Holme Pierrepont are prone to flooding and paths may open or close through wetter months. The organiser will prioritise the south route but will confirm which route will be used in the weeks beforehand.
- Approximately 5.44 km, 27 m elevation, prioritised south route
- Approximately 5.44 km, 22 m elevation, north route backup
The route is described as generally flat with the occasional small lump to climb. The event page also includes a humorous note claiming a kraken in the lake. Entry fee is £41.50. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
