PHOENIX Fridays - A Right Royal Friday
PHOENIX Fridays continues as a series of Friday timed running events, with this edition titled A Right Royal Friday on Friday 19 February 2027 at Xcel SPORTS HUB Stadium, Waterside Drive, Walton on Thames, Surrey KT12 2JG.
Participants choose how many laps to complete on a 5.3 km, 3.28 mile out and back course alongside the river Thames. The format allows flexible rock up and run start times and does not require advance commitment to a specific distance. The minimum distance recorded is 3.28 miles and the overall time limit for the event is seven hours. Every finisher receives a bespoke finishers medal.

- Half marathon
- Marathon
- Ultra
The terrain is off road on a riverside towpath and the course is described as having no elevation gain or loss. Entry fees are listed as £29.99 for affiliated runners and £31.99 for unaffiliated runners. These Friday events are smaller than weekend events and carry a slightly lower entry fee than standard themed entries while retaining the event medals. Places will be strictly limited. Distance restrictions apply to participants aged 20 or under in line with UK Athletics rules. Virtual participation is offered and virtual entrants also receive a giveaway medal.
