Pen Park Trails Fest
Pen Park Trails Fest is a trail run and celebration held in Peninsula State Park in Wisconsin with start and finish at Welcker’s Point. The event provides course support and on-course nutrition, and runners receive a Pen Park Trails Fest race hoodie and a completion award. Post-race beverage options include beer provided by Sway Brewing and Blending, plus nonalcoholic and gluten-free choices. Snack items are provided for runners after the race.
Online registration is open from May 1 through November 5, with in-person packet pickup available the day before the event at Old Fish Creek Town Hall and on race day at Welcker’s Point. Registrants who register by October 8 are guaranteed their preferred race hoodie size.
Parking for participants and spectators is located at Welcker’s Point Campground; signage directs vehicles to the lot and it is a very short walk to the start and finish. All vehicles parked within Peninsula State Park must display park passes. Pets are not allowed at the Welcker’s Point picnic area or while racing in accordance with park rules.
Post-race food and social options include snack items provided to runners, grilling of brats and hot dogs when weather allows with food available for purchase, and time around campfires at Welcker’s Point. Event proceeds will support the Friends of Peninsula State Park for trail development and maintenance. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
