About the race
Pen Park Trails Fest is a trail running event held at Peninsula State Park, Shore Road, Fish Creek, WI, with races that start and finish at Welcker's Point Shelter. The event offers off-road courses using gravel, single-track, and multi-use trails within the park, including multiple climbs and descents along the Niagara escarpment and passages over Sven's and Eagle bluffs.
Course options:
- 30K - multi-surface route across gravel and single-track, includes multiple climbs and descents.
- 14K - shorter route that follows the same gravel section, splits near mile 5, and includes notable climbs and descents.
Both distances have a six-hour time limit; the 30K includes a strictly enforced cutoff at the Eagle Panorama Aid Station (mile 14.2). Participants receive a race hoodie, a completion medal, a post-race beer from Sway Brewing and Blending or a nonalcoholic beverage, and course support and nutrition. The event contributes proceeds to the Friends of Peninsula State Park for trail development and maintenance.
Packet pick-up is scheduled at Fish Creek Town Hall the day before and at Welcker's Point on race day. The organizer does not offer refunds; registrations may be transferred to another person or switched between distances through the event transfer process, and giving a bib to another participant is prohibited.
