About the race

The Peak District Birthday Bash is a routed outdoor event in the Peak District, based at The Peveril Centre in Castleton on 17 April 2027. The event offers two distance options that follow trails around the central Peak District.

  • 70 km Full Bash route, around 43.5 miles
  • 35 km Half Bash route, around 22.75 miles

The full route is described as a journey around the central Peak District and the shorter option covers roughly half that distance. Course age limits apply: the Full Bash requires entrants to be 20 years or older and the Half Bash requires entrants to be 18 years or older; the general minimum age is 18. An early start option is available for walkers and runners, and participants who wish to be eligible for podium awards must start in the mass start. Entry fees listed include affiliated and non affiliated prices: Full Bash from £70 to £72 and Half Bash from £43 to £45. There is an option to purchase a waterproof printed map of the route for £4.00. The event is hosted as a celebration of the anniversary of the Peak District National Park and supports the conservation and engagement projects of the Peak District National Park Foundation.
