Papertown Trail Races
Papertown Trail Races returns for its second running at Chestnut Mountain Nature Park in Canton, North Carolina on October 10, 2026. The event uses the Chestnut Mountain Bridge Area for the start and finish and offers two marked trail courses with chip timing.
Distances
- Short Race Approximately 6.2 miles
- Long Race Approximately 9.3 miles
Turn-by-turn directions are provided for the short race; long race details are listed as coming soon. The course will have signs marking every turn and one water station on the route. Runners are advised to carry personal fluids or nutrition as needed.
Packet pickup and late registration take place at Chestnut Mountain Nature Park. On-site registration is accepted up to 15 minutes before each race. Race chips are attached to the back of race bibs; bibs should be worn on the front of clothing for finish-line detection. Post-race water and light snacks will be available near the finish area.
Additional event details include an optional long sleeve race shirt offered a la carte for $20, parking in the Chestnut Mountain parking lot, and a policy allowing transfers with a $2 processing fee. Prizes will be awarded to the top 10 male and top 10 female finishers in each race. Live results are available via QR code at the venue and final results will be posted later the same day.
