Paine to Pain Trail Half Marathon
The Paine to Pain Trail Half Marathon is a single-loop trail race of 13.1 Miles hosted by NewRo Runners and based in New Rochelle, New York. The course winds through the woods and trails of five different parks in lower Westchester County.
Runners follow a route that never repeats the same trail. About 90% of the course is on dirt, with rocks and roots underfoot, and much of the route runs in the shade of the woods. The loop traverses trails that are often hidden from public view.
The area along the course supports a wide variety of wildlife. Species reported on the trails include deer, fox, coyote, turtles, rabbits, hawks, owls, herons, wild turkeys, bald eagles, flying monkeys, and other fauna. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
