Pacific Coast Running Festival
The Pacific Coast Running Festival takes place September 26–27, 2026 on the Long Beach Peninsula, Washington. The event spans a weekend and combines multiple running distances with a community expo and on-site food and beverage offerings.
Event distances include:
- Sand Marathon
- Half Marathon
- 10K
- 5K
- Sunset 5K
- 1 mile kids dash
- 1/2 mile kids dash
The Sand Marathon starts on Bolstad at the beach edge, heads south to Beard's Hollow for a turnaround, continues north toward Ocean Park, and returns to the finish. The route includes at least two aid stations. The Half Marathon, 10K and 5K courses begin and end at the Long Beach Arch and run along wide paved bike paths that follow the peninsula with views of the Pacific Ocean. Kids races are organized as short dashes intended to be low pressure and family focused.
The weekend program also includes a Health and Wellness Expo, an awards program with overall and age group prizes, specialty categories such as Clydesdale and Athena, and a special BEAST medal for participants who complete two or more events. The festival supports the South Pacific County Humane Society and contributes to local high school sports and nonprofit programs. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
