Paarlberg Half Marathon
The Paarlberg Half Marathon is a road race in Paarl, Western Cape, organised by Onsite Events with the Paarl Athletic Club and sanctioned by Boland Athletics. The event uses the official half marathon distance and includes a traditional section of almost 9 km on the Jan Phillips gravel road along the slopes of Paarlberg Mountain. The route passes through the town and provides views over the Paarl Valley.
The event is part of the Paarl Adventure Festival taking place from 24 to 27 September 2026. Race services and race-day provisions include waterpoints on the route, medals for all finishers, food stalls and a festival area, a bag area at participants' own risk, and timing by Bouttime using a temporary timing chip on the race number.
Entry information and limits are stated: only 3 000 entries are available. Entry fees vary by age and distance, with prices starting from R80 and an event shirt offered at R280 while stocks last. Race rules require licensed athletes to wear club colours and current license numbers; age category tags must be worn to be eligible for category prizes. No pets are allowed and there are no entry refunds. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
