Oxfam Intermón Trailwalker Penedès
Oxfam Intermón Trailwalker is a team sporting and fundraising event held in the Penedès region along the Vía Augusta between Penedès and Vilafranca del Penedès. The event offers multiple distances with time limits and specific dates:
- 100 km in 32 hours, 10 and 11 April 2027.
- 50 km in 16 hours, 10 April 2027.
- 25 km in 6 to 8 hours, 10 April 2027.
- 10 km in 4 hours, 10 April 2027.
Teams can include up to six people. For the longest formats a typical team is four walkers plus two support members who travel by car to assist during the route. For the 25 km distance teams may have 4 to 6 walkers and do not need support staff. For the 10 km distance teams may have 2 to 10 walkers and do not need support staff.
Participation includes a fundraising commitment: each team must raise €1,500. Early registrations made before 30 October receive an initial bonus toward that target : €300 for most distances and €50 for the 10 km distance. Funds are intended to support projects that provide clean water to communities affected by the climate crisis and poverty. The event also states a focus on sustainability and inclusion.
