Over the Top Trail Race - Pocatello, ID
The Over the Top Trail Race takes place on May 8, 2027, in Pocatello, ID. The event is organized by the Pocatello Running Club and marks the tenth annual running of this trail event held on the City Creek Trail System. The trails feature singletrack with scenic overlooks, wildflowers, cacti, rolling climbs, and flowing switchbacks in close proximity to town.

Course and logistics details note recent route and distance adjustments. Shorter loops were reconfigured into the 5K and 10K. The longer races were revised from previous distances to a true trail half marathon and a 30K loop. Both longer routes proceed up "Under the Top" counterclockwise first and then over "The Top" clockwise second. The half marathon is described as very challenging and slightly fat, and the 30K includes late-race hill climbs.
Registration opens January 1, 2027 at 12:00 AM MT. The event allows roll-overs but does not permit bib transfers. Early bib and bag pick up is scheduled for Friday, May 7, 2027, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Centennial Park.
