OUTLAST PITTSBURGH
OUTLAST is a six hour trail endurance challenge held in Gibsonia, PA on 05/29/2027. Participants run a 5K loop every hour, on the hour. Each lap must be completed within the hour to remain in the event; finishing early allows rest until the next round, and missing a lap ends a participant’s run. Completing all six laps is required to earn the OUTLAST medal and a place on the world leaderboard.
Each 5K is timed individually. Runners who finish all six laps have their combined time used to determine local winners and world leaderboard placement. The top male and female at each event are awarded the 1st Place OUTLAST award. The fastest runner across all OUTLAST six hour events, including the Championship, is crowned World Champion and receives a $1,000 cash prize. The top five male and female six hour champions from each city earn a spot in the Outlast World Championship in DFW on December 4, 2027; Championship prizes for first through third are $1,200, $800, and $500.
Courses are trail based with natural terrain, elevation, and variable conditions; some pavement and gravel may appear. Aid at basecamp includes water, basic hydration, and snacks. This is a cupless event; participants are expected to use their own bottle or hydration system. Tents and personal aid setups are allowed but no stakes are permitted.
