Outlast Orlando
Outlast Orlando is a six-hour trail endurance challenge held in Clermont, Florida (741 W Montrose St). Participants run one 5K loop every hour for up to six rounds; completing all six rounds equals roughly 18 miles. Each lap must be finished within the hour to remain in the event; runners who finish early rest until the next round, and missing a lap removes a participant from further rounds.
Courses are trail-based and include natural terrain, elevation, and variable surface conditions such as dirt, rocks, roots, and occasional pavement or gravel. Each 5K is timed individually, and a participant's combined time for all six laps is used for local results and world leaderboard placement. Top male and female runners by combined time at the event receive the 1st Place OUTLAST award.
Event provisions include water, basic hydration, and snacks at the basecamp or loop start. This is a cupless event; participants are expected to use their own bottle or hydration system. Participants may set up their own tents or personal aid stations near the loop start.
Recognition and prizes: finishers who complete four laps receive a “Grit Earned” patch, five laps earn a “Survivor” patch, and six laps earn a premium OUTLAST 6-inch medal. All participants receive a premium OUTLAST T‑shirt. Finishers are ranked on a world leaderboard; the fastest runner across all OUTLAST 6-hour events receives a $1,000 prize. Top local champions can qualify for the Outlast World Championship, where additional cash prizes are awarded. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
