About the race
OUTLAST Atlanta is a timed trail endurance event held in Conyers, Georgia on January 9-10, 2027. The event offers three time-based challenges where participants run a 5K lap every hour and must complete each lap within the hour to remain in the event. If a runner finishes a lap early, they may rest until the next round; missing a lap results in elimination from further rounds.
Distances offered:
- 18 Miles (6-hour challenge)
- 36 Miles (12-hour challenge)
- 72 Miles (24-hour challenge)
All courses are on trail terrain with natural surfaces, elevation, and occasional pavement or gravel. Each 5K is timed individually; when a runner completes an entire event, the combined times count toward local division results and the world leaderboard. Aid is available at the basecamp/loop start with water, basic hydration, and snacks; this is a cupless event so runners must carry their own bottle or hydration system. Participants may set up tents or personal aid stations at the venue. Recognition and awards include patches for completing four or five laps, event-specific medals or a buckle for finishing the chosen race, a premium OUTLAST T-shirt for all participants, and division awards for top male and female combined times. Finishers are ranked on the world leaderboard and the fastest across all OUTLAST 6-hour events earns a cash prize of $1,000. The top city champions earn spots in the Outlast World Championship on December 4, 2027, with additional prize money for top finishers.
