Ouachita Switchbacks
The Ouachita Switchbacks is a trail event held in Big Cedar, Oklahoma, on January 16, 2027, with start and finish at the Pashubee Trailhead. The event offers multiple course distances:
- 50K
- 25K
- 10 Miler
The course is described as extremely technical with considerable elevation change. The start and finish site is in a remote location with no facilities on site. Packet pick up is available at the Pashubee Trailhead after 1 pm on the Friday before the event until campers retire, approximately 9 to 10 pm, and also between 6:30 am and 7:30 am on race morning.
Registration closes on Thursday, January 14 at 11:59 PM CT. The event materials list participant items and finisher items: hoodies for all participants, commemorative mugs for finishers, and trucker hats and mugs specifically for 50K finishers.
The stated inclement weather policy allows postponement to the following Saturday only if road conditions make travel to the race site dangerous. No refunds are provided under that policy. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
