One More Lap for Kids' Village
One More Lap for Kids' Village is a 12-hour team ultramarathon held in Lichfield, Staffordshire, at Stowe Field, Cross Keys, WS13 6AD. Teams of four to six take turns to run relay style around a short, flat 0.75-mile loop. Only one team member carries the baton at a time and laps count for the runner holding the baton. Teams can run or walk at their own pace and rest in camp between turns.
The event is free to enter but teams commit to fundraising for Kids' Village, a local respite holiday village for children with critical illnesses. Organisers ask teams to raise £100 per runner. The day combines the relay with a festival camp atmosphere: live music, food and drink, decorated gazebos, cheering support crews, free ice cream, refreshments and massages. Teams should bring a gazebo or tent and seating for their camp space. There are prizes including a Best Dressed Pitch award. Facilities include toilets, and nearby parking with an exit onto the field. Under-18s aged 12 and over may take part under additional rules about running time and supervision. The course is short and flat so participants remain close to camp throughout the day. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
