The course features singletrack through thick pine stands, rolling hills, occasional rocky sections, a few stream crossings, and soft forest surfaces. Well stocked aid stations and relay exchange points are available along the course to support runners.

Race proceeds support local children attending Camp Harmony church camps and help fund the Johnstown Running Club's efforts to grow running and outdoor recreation in the region.
