Oil Creek 5 & 13 Stacked Trail Races
The Oil Creek 5 & 13 Stacked Trail Races take place at Drake Well Museum and Park in Titusville, Pennsylvania and use the Gerard Hiking Trail plus other trails in Oil Creek State Park. The event offers multiple trail distances and a stacked option that lets participants complete both main races in one day.
Distances:
- 5 mile race (age 13 and older)
- 13 mile race (age 16 and older)
- Stacked challenge: 5 mile + 13 mile (age 16 and older)
- 2 mile youth race (age 12 and under; parents may accompany)
Races are staged 90 minutes apart to allow the stacked challenge. The youth course is heavily staffed with volunteers; parents may run with or assist their children. Race shirts are included with registration for main races; youth race shirts are optional as a $10 add-on. Post race refreshments and food are provided to participants. Each individual race has a five hour time limit.
2026 fees were tiered by registration date, with early, mid, and race day prices for each distance, and a flat fee for the youth race. Veterans and active duty participants received a $10 discount per entry, and teenage participants ages 13 to 18 received a $20 discount per entry. Register by May 3, 2026 to guarantee a race shirt.
All proceeds benefit Friends of Drake Well, Inc., the nonprofit partner of Drake Well Museum and Park. Awards include finisher medals, top overall prizes, masters prizes, stacked race awards, and a Record Breaker award for new course records.
